HCL Tablet With Android 4.0 ICS

HCL Infosystems launched its tablet in New Delhi starting  at Rs 7,999.

The tablet is running on the latest Android operating system version 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich and has 7 inch touchscreen. The device supports HD video recording, WiFi and 3G connection.it has a memory of 4 GB, which can be extended up to 32 GB.

The K12 version of the tablet will be priced at Rs 11,499 and  it comes with K12 (kindergarten to class XII) curriculum, educational applications, games and eBooks.

The higher education version would be available for Rs 9,999 and will contain content on technical and professional skills, assessment and applications.

HCL Infosystems Senior VP and HCL Learning Head Anand Ekambaram told that the kind of content which has been packaged, will make this device play an important role in schools…he also added that 20 educational institutions are already using the MyEduTab.

HCL Infosystem launched its tablet  ‘Me Tab X1′ in October last year at Rs 10,990.

The tech firm also said that it will participate in the tender for manufacturing Aakash 2, the enhanced version of the the world’s cheapest tablet PC.

Being the priced low and that too the fact that this tablet is loaded with android 4.0 may be something which may  be making its demand high. But for actual data we will have to wait a little.
